Kris Boucher has spent her career building, growing, and thoughtfully transitioning veterinary practices with a clear focus on both clinical excellence and sustainable business design.
As the CEO and a shareholder of Hope Advanced Veterinary Center, LLC, Kris led the evolution of a single practice into a thriving, 24/7 multi-specialty organization with locations in Vienna, VA and Rockville, MD. Along the way, she expanded ownership to more than 100 shareholders, guided the design and construction of two specialty hospitals, and built out a full range of advanced services including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Oncology, and Radiology. In 2016, she successfully led the sale of the practice to BluePearl Veterinary Partners.
Kris also owned Herndon Animal Medical Center, where she developed a strong foundation in the day-to-day experience of delivering primary care to pets and their people. She transitioned ownership of the practice to an associate veterinarian—an experience that continues to shape her perspective on mentorship, succession, and creating opportunities for others.
Throughout her career, Kris has been known for her practical, grounded approach to leadership and decision-making. She has shared that perspective as a featured speaker at national veterinary conferences, covering topics such as financial management, capital planning, and facility design.
